How to style velvet to make it look like new again.

You are very concerned aboutvelvet marks. These occur when you wear shoes simply by resting your toes on them, but they can also occur from storing them in a box for a while.

To remove these marks from velvet, you can follow these simple steps. All you need is a brush (a toothbrush can be used) and a steam iron.

  1. Apply steam: Find the marked areas and work on them one at a time. The first step is to apply steam with the iron to the different marks. You can hold an iron at a safe distance or use a steamer. The steam will help lift the velvet fibers.
  2. Brush gently : Use a soft bristle brush or toothbrush and gently brush in the direction of the fabric to restore texture.
  3. Air Drying : After steaming and gently brushing, allow the velvet to air dry. Avoid using direct heat or touching the fabric while it is still damp.

It is important to be very gentle and not rub hard to avoid damaging the fabric.
