Julia was looking for an elegant and timeless dress, the kind that you still look at in photos twenty years later with the same excitement. Natalia, from Paredero Quirós, brought it to life with a fluid design that plays with different fabrics; at first glance it appears simple, but up close, it is full of details. Julia changed the pattern several times before deciding on the final one, and the geometric neckline was one of her best choices.
The most emotional detail was the mantilla by Lorenzo Caprile that her cousin had already worn at her own wedding: a piece with history to which she gave a second life. The earrings were a family heirloom, and for her witnesses, she gifted a hand-embroidered fan, like her own, for them to keep as a souvenir.
To complete the look, Julia was absolutely certain that if she ever got married, she wanted to wear shoes from a Spanish brand. She chose our amber velvet Lou 9 sandals, a classic that fit perfectly with an ensemble of few elements and great balance. We love that she chose us to support local design and craftsmanship.
Julia and Iker were married in Hondarribia, at the Ermita de Guadalupe, on the slopes of Mount Jaizkibel, where they had one of their first dates nine years ago. The celebration followed at the Real Golf Club de San Sebastián, surrounded by greenery and organized by Duo Donostia. Returning to the place where it all began to get married was, as she herself says, the perfect way to bring everything full circle.
A bride with deep sentiment in every detail, and a wedding that will be remembered.
