Would your shoes pass this test?

There's a question we all ask ourselves when choosing shoes for a wedding: are they pretty?
There's another, more important question, that almost no one asks: will they last?

It doesn't matter if you're the one walking down the aisle or celebrating from table 8 — the shoes you choose have to pass the same test. Here are the four questions that truly matter.

Will they last all night on your feet?

Ceremony, cocktail, dinner, dance. A wedding lasts hours, not minutes — and your feet feel it long before you realize it. Leather lining, a well-designed last, and a discreet platform make all the difference between enjoying the party or counting the minutes until you can take them off.

Will they hold up to the venue's terrain?

Grass, sand, cobblestones, garden. The wedding venue — whether you're the bride or a guest — influences the shoes much more than people usually think. A stiletto heel can become a problem; a block heel or a well-designed platform, a solution.

Do they complement your look without competing with it?

The perfect shoe isn't the one that draws the most attention — it's the one that completes the outfit. If you're the bride, this means they complement your dress without stealing the show. If you're a guest, it means they enhance your look without clashing or being an eyesore.

Do you forget you're wearing them?

This is, perhaps, the most honest indicator of all. The best shoe in the world is the one you stop noticing two hours into the party.

If you can't tick all four boxes, that's okay — it just means you haven't found the right shoes yet. And the good news is that when you do find them, you'll know right away: not because they stand out in the photo, but because you won't think about them again all night.

At flordeasoka, we design for that — both for those who say "I do," and for those who accompany them on that day.
