María, a bride with a handbag and a dress full of history

María's dress is one of those that tells a story. Designed by herself, with care and personality, it reflects her love of sewing and her sensitivity for pieces with soul. María has been working for years at Valenzuela , a studio in Madrid, and creating her own wedding dress was a deeply special experience.

María says that since she was a child, she knew she wanted a romantic, handcrafted dress steeped in history. She dreamed of one made from antique pieces. So, along with her mother and sister, she went on a trip to El Rastro, where they found true treasures. One of them was an antique shirt that became the starting point for the design. From there, she began to imagine and construct her dress, incorporating unique lace and fabrics.

The result was a magical dress, with gathered tulle at the neckline giving it a very delicate look. The sleeves with antique cuffs were one of our favorite details, along with the unique handbag she carried.

Finding a shoe that's up to par isn't easy. María opted for our Renata Alabastro , and honestly, we couldn't imagine a shoe that could fit better.
